St. Armands Socialization (Real-World Distraction Training)
Available spots
Service Description
St. Armands Socialization is a structured, high-engagement training experience designed to intentionally raise distraction levels while strengthening the working relationship between dogs and their handlers. While held at the same iconic location as our CGC classes, this class is not a CGC course—it is a focused socialization and engagement session built for teams ready to push past foundational work. In this class, we deliberately work through the D’s of training with an emphasis on cranking up attention intensity between dog and handler in a busy, real-world environment. St. Armands provides layered distractions such as crowds, movement, sounds, food scents, other dogs, and unpredictable stimuli, making it an ideal training ground for advancing focus and neutrality. Dogs will practice remaining engaged and responsive while navigating environmental pressure, reinforcing calm confidence, impulse control, and handler awareness. This class is not about forcing exposure—it’s about teaching dogs how to work through stimulation, not around it, while maintaining clarity and communication. All training equipment is welcome, allowing teams to work with the tools that best support their current training stage. Our goal is functionality, fairness, and results. This class is ideal for: • Dogs who have completed basic obedience or private training • Teams preparing for higher-level public access or advanced obedience • Owners looking to strengthen engagement under real-world pressure • Dogs who need structured socialization beyond neutral exposure St. Armands Socialization is the next step in distraction proofing, bridging the gap between controlled training environments and reliable, confident behavior in everyday life.
