Service Description

Put your training to work. Open Training is a flexible, two-hour training session designed for teams who want dedicated time to sharpen both obedience and scent work skills in a structured, trainer-supported environment. This class combines real-world obedience, engagement, impulse control, and handler communication with opportunities to work through **scent searches tailored to each dog’s current level.** Exercises and search setups may change from class to class, allowing teams to continue adding the **3 D’s—Distance, Duration, and Distraction, while strengthening confidence and reliability. Teams may work on: * Engagement, focus, and handler connection * Heeling, positions, stays, recalls, and place work * Obedience around other working dogs * Odor recognition and final response * Search patterns and independent hunting * Handler presentation and leash skills * Multiple hides and increasing search areas * Odor discrimination and more advanced scent challenges * Proofing skills in a group training environment This is an open-format class, not a progressive course, so each session may look a little different. Dogs work at their individual training level, making it a great opportunity to maintain existing skills, troubleshoot problem areas, and continue challenging experienced teams.
